The Nikon D80 is another type of digital camera made by the Nikon Corporation. It belongs to the DSLR or Digital Single Lens Reflex type of camera featuring numerous functions that only Nikon can provide. First released last August 2006 featuring a 10.2 megapixel resolution, an interchangeable Nikon mount type of lens, an electronically controlled type of shutter, an auto-focusing system, a continuous shooting capability, a built-in pop-up type of flash and many other features available only in Nikon made cameras.
The Nikon D80 also has seven different preset scene modes, user selectable image optimization options, multiple exposure features, pentaprism viewfinder, and a USB 2.0 compatible type of port. It uses the SD Card for storage purposes rather than the old CF card used by its predecessors.
